Does anyone here use the Packpack series (published by Pearson Longman)?
If so, what do you think of it? |

Used it for about 4 yrs. You have to add a lot of your own materials to the chapters. My hagwon wanted me to stretch each book out for 2-3 months since it was too expensive for parents to buy each month. In the end, my inserts made the book twice the size that it was. Backpack really sucks in my view. |

Hi There,
I enjoyed using it for small groups it is activity based and fun.
I should warn you though there is a song and a chant for every lesson.
There are also stickers for every lesson.
The students can read a storybook each lesson and make something with paper each lesson.
There is a writing workbook, too...getting the right level is important.
Some resources are provided in the book but your school would need art and craft resources. With the teachers manual you level test and then you can regularly check the students knowledge with tests from the manual.
The music and story readings are included on a tape/CD which help with re-listening.
(I agree that having to stretch it out would suck, hopefully you can work through at a decent pace) |
