Thinking about backpacking down there for a few months when my first contract ends here. Anyone backpacked down there? Things to do and any other advice and/or recommendations?

| I backpacked on a high school trip, almost ten years ago now. One cool thing I noticed was that a lot of the backpackers there seemed to have purchased cheap camper vans for themselves to get around, which they then sold to other backpackers upon their departure. If you could find someone to split on one of those with, it might really improve your travel experience, as you would have freedom to go wherever you pleased and you could just crash in the van. |
