I used to buy Dorset Cereals at E-Mart at Yongsan, but I think it is no longer available. Does anybody know where it can be purchased in Seoul? Any other good Mueseli that's not at exhorbitant prices?

Thank you!!

You might check Costco, they have a decent selection of Western cereals and whatnot...

I think I saw some at Homeplus last time I was there, but I also think they were wanting about a million dollars for it.

I got with TESCO brand corn flakes. 3,000 won for 1 KILO !

God Bless TESCO.

Why does Homeplus even stock Muesli? I mean, who's buying a 12,000 won box of cereal?

The same people who pay 12,000 for a block of cheddar the size of a deck of cards.

I used to buy Dorset cereal at an Emart in Dongdaemun myself- it was great! Sad that they've stopped stocking it, along with skim milk powder.
I really hope it's available at Costco- I'm going soon (this week or next) and will update either way.

Kim's Club in Bulgwang has few kind of museli....but who wants to pay 17,000 for cereal. Best get thee to Costco while spiced pecan cereal is still 7,000 won (it was twice that last month). Or make it yourself, much cheaper. My ma used to make granola, and it was better than storebought. Put seasame seeds in it...so good.

They do have crushed flax seeds at Costco as well.

I just went to Costco. The cereal selection is terrible. A few ridiculously expensive American imports that look loaded with sugar and some Korean stuff. I bought some new Korean brand multigrain thing and it seems quite good although I haven't tried it with milk yet. Not sweet and seems like a good mix. They also have Korean brand plain oatmeal now. I bought it but haven't tried yet.

Dorset Muesli was great. 5,000 won for a decent size pack. Mix with some fruit and it was a great breakfast. I was well pissed off to see it no longer stocked at E-Mart. Homeplus is by far the best place for cereal now. The Tesco brand Fruit and Fibre, Cranberry Wheats.. are great and quite cheap.

Binch Lover, where did you see the Korean brand plain oatmeal? Was that at Costco? In the cereal section? Dd you remember the price? I paid 13000 won for a large box (1.19 kg) of Quaker oats at Foreign Food Mart in Itaewon, but that's so expensive. I imagine a Korean brand would be much cheaper.

It was in Costco but it doesn't look like it any cheaper. About 6,000 won for 500g.

I have seen it in half a dozen places, but never for less than 10,000 for a small but heavy box.

At the Homeplus/ Tesco in the Eastern part of Dongdaemoon gu area (off the Chon gye cheon), I noticed that they had some Alara cereal (expensive) and a Tesco Fruit & Fiber Cereal (quite cheap). I really stocked up on both of them.
