I'm sorry, I just don't take jobs that don't put the airfare in up front. I'm not sure why do many people do.

I may be tired too, but I certainly couldn't wrap my head around it. It seems to be a standare reimbursement clause could be about ten times shorter...

Thats a pretty interesting contract. I'm very curious about the "reimburse the flight loan". What does that even mean? So they pay you the money from the plane ticket back when you get there.....then take it away again?

Do us a favor and ask the recruiter what this means. Very curious.

With public schools, it's a loan until the six month mark. So if you bail before six months you have to pay the loan back. After six months then you are off the hook.

Oh why not...

1: If you do a 1-way... be as cheap as possible from home to your final destination without flying in cargo. You pay for the ticket up front. Show them all the requested documentation, and they "loan" you the money back.

2. If you do a round-trip you are to be as cheap as possible from home to your final destination without flying in cargo. You pay for the ticket up front. Show them all the requested documentation, and they "loan" you 50% of the ticket value back.

3. 10 days after your contract expires and IF you don't renew: If you don't want to go back home, and want to go somewhere else, your boss will pay for a one-way ticket there, but it has to be less then, or at the same cost as a one-way ticket back to wherever you came from in the first place. Show them all their requested documentation for this.

4. Remember that other 50% of your round-trip ticket you paid for in #2? This is where you get it back. Show all the requested documentation.

5. If you renew: Your boss pays for a the cheapest round-trip ticket home you can find without flying in cargo AFTER you come back. You can go somewhere else, it just has to be equal to that value and YOU pay for it up front. Show all the requested documentation.

6. If you terminate within 6 months (including renewals) no matter what happens and if you leave on your own or were terminated without violating terms of employment: You pay back that 50% loan that you got way up in #1 and 2. If all this crap happens after you don't have to pay them back.

7. If you get fired (basically) for violating terms of employment at any point during your contract (including renewals): You don't get the airfare back/ you pay your own way home.

This loan crap makes my head hurt.

Edited because because I couldn't find the tylenol fast enough.
