Article here.

In an interview with ABCs Diane Sawyer that will be aired tonight, President Obama said he will not back off his agenda despite the political hazards that might lie ahead:
Id rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president, he told ABCs World News anchor Diane Sawyer in an exclusive interview today. []
You know, there is a tendency in Washington to believe our job description, of elected officials, is to get reelected. Thats not our job description, Obama said. Our job description is to solve problems and to help people.
Seated across from Sawyer in the White House, the president added, I dont want to look back on my time here and say to myself all I was interested in was nurturing my own popularity. |
That's a good attitude, but he seems to be forgetting the possibility of being a mediocre one-term president. Of course, he still has 3 years to go, so he has plenty of time to turn it around. |

Someone mentioned that great presidents made a whole lot of people really angry. It's pretty much true if you think about it.
Obama, get out there and make someone really, really angry. Or get Biden to resign, have Pelosi and Byrd step aside and then resign yourself and let Hillary have a shot at it...along about Oct. 1. |
