Listen here: www.themidnightrunner.com

My friend Yvon shares his wisdom as to where you can find the best deals on guitars and other instruments in Seoul. He's closing his shop, "The HUGE" and wants to pass on what he's learned through years of experience. He's also selling off his remaining stock, and is happy to help others find the guitar of their dreams. If you're into guitars, you won't want to miss this podcast!

If you hear a slight hum in the background, it's Harpeau's fridge. Laughing

Sorry about the fridge. Thank God our new place in Itaewon is bigger and we can get some distance from the fridge noise. Smile

Thanks for all the kind words that were E-mailed to me. I really appreciate the encouraging words. Thanks Bass for the interview. Looking forward to hearing you interview others. Keep up the great work!

BTW, Mr. Won at Nakwon Arcade is on the 2nd floor B 228 & 229.
One last thing, does anybody here have Steve Kim's phone #? (MD Guitars.) My last phone died on me back in the late fall and I don't have it handy. Cheers!

Unfortunately, the ability to play isn't. We have more guitar OWNERS than guitar PLAYERS by what I've seen in my 2 years here. PRACTICE!!! Knock the dust off that thing! Geesh.

So what you're saying is that you've pretty much run out of topics. Very Happy

No. What's an Xbox? Ma bought me my first $30 Stella acoustic and Mel Bay chord book in 1970. I now have an 83 Ibanez Roadstar I bought new. I've learned to tune up, and perhaps a little more over the last 4 decades. You won't find anything (dust, finger cheese, etc.) on that ax except new wire and killer (smoother than a gravy sandwich) action. Floating Floyd Rose, a hook, (of course) lock nut, fine tuners, a humbucker, two single coils and dozens of available tones. No X-box, no Ipod, no p.c. at home. Just an amp, an old Roland signal processor and the Ibanez. Oh, and daily practice. Well over 10,000 hours by now, I would think. And you?

Not sure about Steve's handphone, but his shop number is 02-322-9471.

His wife (wo?)mans the counter, and her English isn't the hottest, so for those who don't speakuh Korean it may be better to put all inquiries in writing through the site: www.mdcustomshop.com.

Dude did an awesome repair job on my SG -- much better than the luthier I took in to i Vancouver. This place is highly recommended.

Thanks for the info. I just bought a electric upright bass off E-bay. Finger board was cracked so it buzzed, and not in the cool EUB farty way. I wish I had known about Steve ahead of time, maybe he could have fixed it. I returned the bass and I am having a custum one made to my wallet's dismay.
