and it's not Costco.
I heard someone mention it to me a while ago, so I finally got around to checking it out. I wasn't expecting much. My apologies if this has already been discussed, but I haven't found it anywhere on the forums.
Directions:
-Juyeop Station.
-Walk out exit 1 and go straight. Go for 2 or 3 blocks (I can't really remember how many, but I don't think it's 4).
-On the corner you should see a building called "레익 타운" (Lake Town). It's a big shopping complex. It's fairly easy to spot. It's across the street from GS Supermarket.
-Go to the basement of the building.
On one side is a grocery store. However, scattered around are a few shops (really just collections of shelves).
I would say the selection is pretty decent, all things conisdered. I'm no expert on Itaewon markets, but I think this is perhaps just as good.
There's a few stores. One seems a bit more 'black market' style, though I didn't really look to closely at it. It has lots of snacks as well as some Western toiletries, though I looked but didn't see deodarant.
There's another shop, that seems slightly more established on a raised floor on wood shelves. They have a good variety.
There's also a little baking store with chocolates (though I couldn't find unsweetened), molds, and more.
Items I found include:
-Salad dressings (German brand I think)
--Italian, American Caesar, Fines Herbes, Balsamic
-Ground nutmeg
-Real Vanilla Extract!
-Very large cheap jars of chicken and vegetable bouillon (Chinese I think, though labeled in English and Spanish). These were only about 3,500
-Hunt's BBQ sauce (maybe other brands too)
-Variety of Indian curry packets
-Large, expensive containers of spice pastes, such as for Biryani.
-Other SE Asian and Indian Ingredients like pickled chili peppers.
-Cranberry sauce
-Star Anise
-Decent variety of De Cecco pasta
-Jello
There's also a fridge with some Costco stuff like Kirkland Cheddar. |

Homeplus is in Ilsan, tho its the only homeplus I've been to. As far as that one, I've never seen nutmeg or the chicken boullion (I've looked, just a small jar of pretty expensive American bouillon). The curry packs were limited to about 2 or 3 at Homeplus. BBQ sauce, I'm not too sure about. I think the only one of those dressings I've seen in Ilsan is Italian, though I can't be positive on that. Pretty sure there's no deodarant. I could be wrong, but I don't think I've seen any of this stuff in Ilsan at least (E-mart, Homeplus, Kim's Club, Costco). If anyone knows better, please let me know. |

For Home Plus, you have to check in two different aisles for stuff. Sometimes, the foreign goods will be with the other foodstuffs like it and sometimes it'll be in the "special goods" aisle. |

In Ilsan, there's a HomePlus next to La Festa/Lake Park.
OP, I believe I know the place. When you exit Juyeop Station, you walk towards La Festa (general direction). |

Yes, I know. My question is if all that stuff that is mentioned/bolded by black jack is available at Ilsan Homeplus, cuz I've never seen any of it there. |
