| I synced my iPhone and added a couple new podcasts and songs . I unplugged the cable, went to the iPod functions and it tells me there is no content. Plug the iPhone back in and I see everything in iTunes. |

In iTunes, do you have all the songs 'checked' that you want to sync? Not only do you have to specify the playlists and songs that you want to sync in the iPhone window, but you also have to check the boxes for songs that you want to sync in each playlist and folder in iTunes itself.
Also, in iTunes preferences, click "advanced".
The box for "Copy files to iTunes Media folder" should be UNCHECKED if you are adding material that is not purchased.

I've never had that problem, but I looked into it for you and found that this is some kind of bug that quite a few people have been experiencing. Theres a couple of options to get it to work right again. You can either delete or add a song and then resync, or you can follow the advice on this page until Apple addresses the problem in their next update i guess:

| I deleted a song on my iphone within Itunes and it seems to work now. After I deleted a song, I unplugged my iphone, when into "iPod". After a few seconds on it scanning the library everything came back up as normal. |
