Recently got this, but I have no use for it. It is in the box, bubble wrapped and everything. It comes with an unopened case as well.

The going price for this is 814,000 won, but I would like to sell it for 600,000 cash in a face to face location.

I am located in the Gangnam area. If interested, e-mail me at [email protected]

There are no pictures, since it literally is still covered in bubble wrap with the box.

Thanks for looking.

So you paid full price for an iPhone and suddenly decided you didn't need it? Now you want to sell it? Why not just take it back?

Or you got this as a gift from someone who paid full price and now you want the cash? Wow, that'd be nice of you to whoever gave it to you.

Actually, I won this in a video contest, where second prize was an iphone. So it is brand new, and unopened.

And yes if it doesn't sell, I will end up using it. But the iphone is just too luxurious of an item, so I'd rather sell it.

DANG. Didn't know they were charging that much for them here. Last I saw, they were giving them out for free in Japan.

Good luck with the sale!

This sale makes no difference to me at all. I just found a post that I thought funny and decided to comment on it. Just like you saw my post and decided to comment on it. That's why this is called a message board, people post messages in response to other messages.

One thing I didn't mention in my first response was the funny part that this phone can be had for just 400,000 at the most if you get it through KT with a contract. It can be free if you sign up for a high-priced account. Why on earth would anyone actually pay the full amount?

OP, since I can get it for 260k for the plan I'm on, I'll offer you 150 for it.

i'm curious, is this a korean iphone? Or is this a factory-unlocked model which can be used in any country?

This is a little bit misleading. What is the monthly price of the phone plan to get the phone for 400,000? I'll bet it's more than the 16,000/month that I'm paying now. In fact, it is somewhere around 45,000 won per month, right? So, let's see...29,000 won x 24 months is 696,000 won.

Now, personally, I wouldn't pay that much for the iPhone. If you wanted the iPhone 3GS, though, this wouldn't necessarily be a bad deal.

Oh, and offering 150,000 won for it...what is up with that? Is that supposed to be funny? Obviously the OP isn't going to sell it to you for that much. All it does is make you appear to be a jerk. Was that your intention, perhaps?

Misleading? Perhaps only if you have trouble with logic and reason.

My monthly phone bill is about 30 - 35k. Add in 10k or so for the ability to do internet stuff and that makes it 45k which is the price plan I would pick if I ever did get an iPhone. Personally, I'd rather have an Android phone, but if I got a good deal on an iPhone I wouldn't turn it down.

My offer was serious. No sane person would pay 750k for a phone that they can get for about 250. I saw that the OP knocked about 100k off the full price, so I did the same for my offer. I would probably even go a little higher if the OP wanted me to.

And how can you say what the OP would or would not do? The OP stated he got the phone as a prize, which I'm guessing means he was not out of pocket anything for it. Therefore, any amount he gets is pure profit.

Actually, you can get a 3gs 32gb iPhone free for 22,000w a month service plan, if you sign a two year plan (or 540,000w total). Of course, the 16gb iPhone would be much cheaper. 750,000w seems very high for even a 32gb, let alone a 16gb iphone.

Ok, I can't say for sure that the OP wouldn't sell you the phone for 150,000, but I do feel pretty confident about it. I mean, I'm guessing the OP isn't a complete moron. As long as that's the case, you won't get the phone for so little. Do you know why? It's because it would be easy to find somebody willing to pay more. It doesn't matter what you're willing to pay. As for pure profit, well...I would posit that 300,000 won pure profit is better than 150,000 won pure profit. 500,000 won is even better. Lastly, 750,000 won is even better. Regardless of what the OP paid (or didn't pay) for the phone, he would be foolish to sell the phone for so little.

I do feel confident that the OP would probably be willing to deal (for the same reason you gave). Surely, though, you must realize your offer was ridiculous, and perhaps even insulting. Furthermore, defending your offer with that absurd logic was even more ridiculous. Was it a negotiation tactic? I think that offering 20% of someone's asking price is generally not going to get you anywhere.

As to your question, perhaps the OP can answer it for us. OP, will you sell the phone to kprrok for the ridiculous price of 150,000 won? I feel confident that the answer is no.

I am interested in where you can get a 32GB 3GS for free with a 22,000 won/month contract. When the iPhone first came out here, I was looking at the pricing plans. I can't remember for sure, but it was either 132,000 or free for the 32GB 3GS with the 95,000 won/month plan (+10% VAT). That's a far cry from what you stated. I'm not calling you out, I'm just curious. If I can get a 32GB 3GS for free and only increase my phone bill by 6,000 won per month, I'll definitely do it. Can you provide a link to some information please? Thanks.

I can say for certain that you can't get the 32GB 3GS for free. it's 132,000won for the 95,000/month plan and goes up to 732,000won from there. Only the 16GB is free with the 95,000/month plan.

By the way...750,000 is too much for the 16GB considering KT's cheapest plan/most expensive 16GB iPhone (pay as you go) offers the iphone at 600,000. So, I'd shoot for less than that if you expect someone to take it off your hands...

check out all the plans here:

http://phonestore.show.co.kr/handler/Model-IPhone

Either way, the plans KT has suck because they offer very little talk time and few text messages. The data usage doesn't sound like much, however you also get access to all of KT's NESPOT WIFI points all over Korea for free. Not to mention everywhere else has free WIFI. So I hardly ever connect to 3G. I use the internet a lot and I would say I average only 250MB of the 500 offered in my plan.

Anyhow, regardless of which plan you get, 45,000won or 95,000 if you send more than 300 text messages you're bill is going to go up (even more if you don't turn off SMS feature) and you'd better hope people call you more than you call them because the talk time blows. I'm on the 45,000 a month plan and I'm paying around 100,000 because of the extra talk and text charges.

Sorry. To say the phone would be free for a 2 year contract was a bit misleading. You pay for it over the life of your contract (22,000w extra a month for 24 months=528,000w for the phone). This is the plan requires a Korean ID or 2 yrs left on your Visa. This is a plan through KT, but you must get someone who speaks really good Korean to go with you due to the complexity of the process. I know this because we just recently obtained a 32gb 3gs through KT with the exact process.
