Hello everybody,

This morning, I used my Internet with no problem at around 10:00 AM. I left the house for a while and when I came back at about 2:00 PM I couldn't access the Internet any more. I was prompted with some sort of identity check screen when I tried to load any pages. My Internet provider is LG Telecom. I tried using the Internet with two computers, and both showed the same behavior. I also tried plugging my laptop directly into the modem and using somebody else's unsecured network that I can access from my apartment, but got the same identity verification screen in both cases.

My employer signed up for the Internet (I am paying for it) so I didn't have the information that the page was requesting. I have gotten the information (I hope it is correct) from my employer now, but I am at work so I haven't tried inputting it into the form yet.

I guess I am just wondering if anybody else experienced this behavior with LG Telecom today. This is the first time that anything like this has happened to me. Is LG Telecom trying to crack down on unauthorized usage of Internet? It seems kind of silly to require verification if the computer is directly plugged into the modem. Will I need to authorize all my computers to access the Internet now?

This isn't a rant or anything. I'm just curious if anybody else experienced this today. Thanks for reading!

KT has had this for awhile. Just log in the one time and you shouldn't have to do it again until you reinstall windows.
