|
|
I came back to Korea in March 2008 and so complied with all new requirements.
At the end of my contract, i transferred my visa to my current Employer with no hassles. Now I'm looking to change again (at the end of the contract of course) and I was wondering if anyone transferred the E2 visa more than once.
It's just so much easier this way, but I read on a different discussion board that too many transfers could count against you.
Immigration lady said the Immigration Officer would decide if you could do another transfer, but I was hoping to hear from someone with actual experience with this. |

| It shouldnt be an issue. They would question it if you had multiple transfers from unfinished contracts, but as long as you transferring from a completed contact (even multiple times) they likely won't say anything. I had a transfer from a hawgon to public after 4 months, followed by two transfers after completed PS contracts. Never had a problem as long as I had the LOR from the previous employer. |

while on the topic, i have a question that hopefully somebody here can answer. my current contract ends February 28th (last day of Feb), and I'm supposed to start a new job on March 1st. I'm getting a letter of release from my current employer, but after I submit ALL my docs, what can I expect from immigration? They going to stamp my passport with a new visa? Issue a new ARC? Any input would be really appreciated.
Thanks! |

You don't really have that much to submit.
I went to Immigration with my new Employer, took my ARC, passport, release letter and a picture. They paid the fee. They also needed to submit some documents but your part is pretty easy
We filled in the form, left my passport there and they collected it for me the following day.
I didn't get a new ARC. The one I had was just stamped on the back with my new employment information, new address on it and new expiry date.
So from now on whenever you need to submit your ARC for anything you should copy or scan both the front and back.
In my passport I just got a "sticker" with information on it. Easy. |
