Hi, guys. I have a Korean friend who's a member of Chingusai, a gay and lesbian activist organization here in Korea. Right now, Chingusai is working on an English Gay Culture Guidebook specifically designed for non-Koreans. My friend is one of those in charge of the project, and he really wants to make sure that the guidebook ends up being as useful as possible, and he's trying to gather information from actual gay non-Koreans to find out what issues need to be addressed.
So he's looking for people to fill out a ten-question questionnaire. I've looked over the questions, and they're pretty straightforward (e.g. What are your favorite & least favorite parts of the gay culture in Korea? Do you ever feel you're subject to double discrimination because you're non-Korean AND gay?). The survey is completely anonymous, and you can choose how detailed your answers are going to be.
I know we're all busy, but it really does seem to be for a good cause, and Chingusai is a pretty cool organization, so if you'd be willing to spend about 10 minutes of your time to fill out the questionnaire, please send an e-mail to my friend at [email protected] and just say something like "I'll fill out the survey," and he'll e-mail it to you. Thank you on his behalf!

I knew a gay guy before in Korea. He was fired as soon as they found out.

You mean that one bald guy who owns all the Thai restaurants in Itaewon? |

When that bald guy came out the tv station fired him. I think maybe he was able to get on tv a few times later on.
Andre Kim is not out of the closet officially. |

Probably. Would he admit it? Never.
Did anyone read the OP? They're not asking about famous gay Koreans, they're asking about gay foreigners in Korea.
I think I saw a Dave's member literally named "gay in korea" recently, maybe you should ask him. |

JYP gay? Hmmm, he was married for a long while, but he and Rain WOULD make for a cute couple, ha ha ha.
On a serious note, I haven't talked to my friend yet, so I don't know how many people contacted him about the survey, but I know he was looking for as many people as possible, so I hope more people e-mail him to participate! |
