I am gay, and my boyfriend and I are planning to teach in Korea. Like most couples, we want to live together. We plan to be discreet about the nature of our relationship, but I'm not sure how to set up the living arrangements with our schools. Should we just request a housing allowance and find our own apartment? Any thoughts?

Thanks for the advice.

I would recommend not telling anyone that you're gay but tell them you would like to room with your friend that you know from home, and if the school is willing, it shouldn't be a big problem since they will both be able to save money on separate rent. Although I'm not sure if they allow non-married couples to live together...in the rules that is....good luck!
