I talked with a Canadian teacher that has been working for them for a year and a half in Seoul. Hes claims hes always been paid on time, and plans to stay there for awhile longer. This leads me to believe hes completely happy, but Ive been reading a few negative comments about Topia from the forum and was just curious to hear a solid perspective. Has anyone on here every actually worked for them?
Also, whats the deal with schools asking for pictures and copies of degrees to advertise new teachers? Is it normal for schools to make up flyers advertising cute new foreign faces? |

my brother qnd his girlfriend work for a Topia English Zone. It's a franchise, each with a different owner so comparing is difficult. However they have been paid on time regularly. He does have quite long hours some days but nothing extroadinary, no saturdays or anything. They're probably staying longer than a year. The complaints they do have are usually about the boss rather than the school. Which is par for the course in this country so it seems. |
