|
|
I've been in Korea off and on for a while and I need a new criminal record check done for a job, but it has to cover my time in Korea.
How does one go about getting this done? Local police station? immigration office?
The quicker the response the better and a big thanks. |

I just got one a couple of weeks ago at my local police station.
I got my co-teacher to write out on a piece of paper what I was looking for, since no one there speaks English.
All you need is your alien card. They'll print it out for you within a few minutes. It's pretty easy.
The check will be in Korean, so if you are applying for a job in an English-speaking country you will probably need to get it officially translated. I'm going to have to figure that out too, since I need mine to apply for a teaching license in Australia. |

Thanks!
Big relief to hear it's this easy. |

For US immigration, a local Korean police check can be translated by anyone who claims that they are competent in English and Korean. |
