I have a question I hope someone can help me answer. I searched around but no luck.

My girlfriend and I are trying to teach in Korea. The question I have is that she is a UK citizen, but moved to the US when she was 4 and has never been back sense except to visit family in the UK. She also has a permanent resident card (green card) here in the US since moving here.

The question we have is it ok for her to get a US background check when she has a UK birth certificate and UK passport?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not exactly sure, but I think your gf can prove residence and since she does have a green card, she can get a US criminal background check. You'll want to check with the Korean immigration office to find out which they would require. You would think that the American one would be the smartest, but Koreans are morons, and will probably want the UK.

Sorry if I'm being dense but what is their contact info? We tried calling the korean consulate and they acted like they can't help us without a visa number.
