http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/special/2010/02/177_60057.html

Seoul City has announced that it will organize an event for traditional folk games at the skating rink at Gwanghwamun Plaza in central Seoul on Feb. 14 _ the middle of the three-day Seollal holiday.

The family event titled Plaza Without Vehicles on Seollal, features games that will include top spinning; sledding; shuttlecock tossing; tuho, a game involving tossing sticks into a jar; and Ddakji, a game similar to Pogs.

Also staged will be a mini-Winter Olympic Games, which will include human curling, sledding and ice bowling.

Prior to Seollal, the municipal government will also offer an event for the needy on Feb. 9 under the initiative of Woori Bank, where orphans and the physically challenged will receive training for skating.

For further information, visit the homepage (www.seoulskate.or.kr).

The skating rink at the Gwanghwamun Plaza will operate until Feb. 15, the end of the Seollal Holiday.
