| I have an electric toothbrush and electric razor from the U.S., and I'd like to use theme here. I know I'll need some kind of converter rather than just an adapter, but I'm not sure what to get or where to find it. I tried homePlus and HiMart, but no luck. Any suggestions? |

How did you not find any at Home Plus? That's where I bought mine...
FWIW, you probably only need an adapter (cheap plastic 5k won) to charge a toothbrush and razor. I charge my razor with an adapter. |

| i tried an adapter, didn't seem to work. I may be wrong about HomePlus, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for and the employee who spoke english didn't seem to think they had what I needed. |

I bought mine at Lotte Mart. 32K won for a 1KW transformer. I think the 2KW ones were close to 50K won. I found mine in the aisle with the multitap extension cords.
BTW I've seen them for sale at Homeplus also, near the light bulbs section. |

You want a 가정용("Gah-jeong-yong"=home)소형("So-hyeong"=small)변압기("Byeon-ahp-gi"=transformer)
가정용 소형 변압기 = Gah-jeong-yong so-hyeong byeon-ahp-gi

Just a note. If you've already used the correct adapter, you may've already fried them if they are not dual/multi-voltage(100-240). But not certain...
You should be able to find 'em at any of the major places, but can likely get one a bit cheaper at a local place called 철문점("Cheol-moon-jeom"). They're those places that have crap exploding all over the place out onto the street - brooms, mops, electrical wire, plumbing supplies, and the like. |
