My head teacher asked us foreign teachers to come up with a song for the kids to sing at kindergarten graduation in three weeks. Any good suggestions? Anything will help. And please don't say that song by Vitamin C, she sucks. Smile Thanks!

this is the song i taught my kindergarten when i taught a couple years back...they still use it. it's really easy to teach the kids and fun to do.

Addams Family Song

(tune of Addams Family-snap fingers on the clicks)

Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click

Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click

Duh-duh-duh-duh,

Duh-duh-duh-duh,

Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click

We learned our ABCs

And counting 1, 2, 3s.

And now we know all these,

The kindergarten class.

And we learned how to share.

And we learned how to care.

Just ask us if you dare,

The kindergarten class.

Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click

Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click

Duh-duh-duh-duh,

Duh-duh-duh-duh,

Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click

It seems we've just begun

And now we're almost done.

This year's been so much fun!

The kindergarten class.

But we must say so long.

With this our little song.

But we'll be back 'fore long.

The kindergarten class.

Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click

Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click

Duh-duh-duh-duh,

Duh-duh-duh-duh,

Duh-duh-duh-duh, click, click

It depends on how dramatic you co-teacher wants to go. My class, for instance, is middle of the road with "Tomorrow."

Other songs tossed around were "Wind beneath my Wings" (seriously?) "Little Light of Mine" (a great pick, IMO), "Somewhere over the Rainbow," so on and forth. In hind sight, I wish we picked SOtR. :/

These may seem more difficult, but you can indoctrinate the kids quickly by putting the song on repeat during free play or lunch and posting the lyrics in the room. It will come together when you have regular practice time closer to the big day.

It's just too bad Johny Cash covered HURT well after the Muppet Show.... consider the possibilities...
