there's much talk about this hair loss pill on here and it works wonders for me. i'll be running out of the pills i brought here soon and i'd like to order more (rather not bother seeing a doctor, already did back in the states and it was recommended). all the online stores i know of don't ship to korea. medicinedrugstore.com shipped here but it's not online anymore.
does anyone know of any others? |

You said you don't want to see a doctor, but if you do go see one, you can get a presciption for Proscar. Just tell the doctor you want that because it's cheaper than Propecia. Split the 5 mg tablets in 4 - giving you a 1.25 mg dose every day - very close to the normal 1 mg dose in Propecia. Most doctors will only give you a 30 pill prescription at a time - which will last you 4 months (each pill split in 4 parts).
You can walk in nearly any pharmacy and buy it, and it's dirt cheap compared to Propecia. |

the entire concept of having to see a doctor for propecia, viagra and other such drugs is a beautiful little scam that helps explain why health costs are beyond control and comprehension.
I'd say on your next trip to Thailand, walk into any local pharmacy and load up. I bought a year's supply of Proscar generic, which I cut up to make it "Propecia" for less than I'd pay for a good beef dinner at a Korean restaurant. |

exactly, there's no need to have to see a doctor to let you know you have male pattern baldness and propecia isn't a dangerous pill. |

I've always just gone to see whichever doctor was closest by in Korea to get a Proscar prescription - although language is sometimes an issue.
It usually runs 5,000 won or so (with insurance) if all they do is talk to you for a few minutes and write you a prescription. It seems like it used to be even cheaper, but it's so little money that I really pay little attention to it when I visit a doctor in Korea.
BTW, there is a rare complication of liver damage from this med. When I first got on it in the US, the doctor did a liver panel once every 3 months to make sure my liver function was normal. After that, she told me to switch to monitoring it once a year (although the odds of the med doing anything different after a year are low and I confess to not follwing her advice). Just FYI; do with it what you will.
Lots of foreign people love the clinic at Yonsei because it looks like what they're used to and is staffed with all English speakers. I don't know if it costs more but don't go there myself because it's really far from my house. |
