I want to take some photos from my hard drive and have them printed, something like an 8 x 10 or 11 x 13 size (that's inches, not cm) and framed.
Does anyone know the best place to get this done for a reasonable price? My wife said we could do it a Homeplus but that it would cost 500,000 Won! |

Just go into a photo shop, they tend to have a selection of photo frames. That or find a frame and then take it into the photo shop |

I just went to Homeplus and paid 3000won for some 8x10s, though that website is a lot cheaper. After that I went to the frame shops in Nampo-dong (Busan) and was able to pick out some nice frames with matting for around 7,000won each.
500,000??? For what?

I wonder where some of these crazy prices come from that some Korean women come up with (notice I said 'some' before the complaints come pouring in)....a friend of ours' girlfriend said that it costs 100,000 won to get your car washed and vacuumed, and she wasn't talking about a special detailing place in Seoul or anything....just a run-of-the-mill small town car wash place.
I can't think of any other examples off the top of my head, but I have been amazed over the years at some of the off-the-wall prices I've heard quoted for services that somehow the confused foreigner was able to find for 95% less. Reminds me of the time that a co-worker of ours was amazed that we were able to drive around Korea with a map book, saying that she wouldn't leave town without Navigation. She seriously asked us how the map book worked....how do you even answer that question "We open the book and look at the map....in the event that the map I wish to look at is not in front of my eyes then I turn the page." |
