| Hey guys, I may have landed myself a job in Gimhae, my school is around Sammun-ri and Jangyu-myeon area, and I might be living around the area. I would just like to know if there's anyone here who knows what are some ways to go to Busan? I know that its very close, but I've been reading that there really isn't much of a subway system in Gimhae that connects to Busan right now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

There's probably a bus route. Also, look at this, "Construction of a light-weighted electric railway form Gimhae to Busan", "Light electric railway connecting Gimhae and Busan will be completed and open for service in 2001. This will make it convenient for you to travel within Gimhae City and between Gimhae and Busan." - http://english.gimhae.go.kr/04/04_01.jsp

| Yeah, I know about that new subway being built, sadly that 2001 is a typo for 2011. But yeah, I know there's 2 subway stations that are on the same line as the Samnangjin station, which connects to the Gyeongbu station. I just have to hope that I live near one of these stations or a bus stop that has a bus that takes me to Busan. Thanks for the help though. |

Probably the easiest way is to get a bus to the Sasang bus terminal and then take a subway from there to anywhere you want to go within Busan. If you are unable to read Korean, get a friend/coworker to help you...then again, they can probably tell you exactly where the bus stop is and the number of the bus faster than I can. I've taken the bus from Sasang to Jangyu once, but can't remember the number of the bus and usually drive nowadays.

If you can get by in Korean, this website is good for finding all the buses in the Busan area:
http://www.busanbus.or.kr/
For example, it looks like Bus 127 runs from Gimhae to Gupo Station from 5:00 am to 10:40 pm every 10 to 12 minutes.
Good luck. |
