If your salary was so highly bloody competitive, you wouldn’t tell me it was competitive, You would tell me the actual figures of the salary you’re offering. Then, I’d say “wow, that job has quite a salary. If there was a salary competition, that salary would surely do very well!”

Go die slow, highly competitive salary people. I hate you all.

Thank you for expressing this. I remember applying to a job in India a while back in which they said "We offer a highly competitive salary." Then when it came down to the actual wheeling and dealing, like on the 3rd interview, it turned out it is "highly competitive with an Indian salary"

Shyaah (<---meant to be the Mike Myers Wayne's World "Yeah right" sound)

I saw that job posting too. I'm especially interested in the high level of ambiguity. I would love to know specifically what that means.

I learned a long time ago that " highly competitive salary" just meant that they were offering about what everyone else was in the same field.
