I am trying to budget out what I will need when I get there. Wondering what the average cost for a gender adapter is for a laptop.

Thanks.

Look at the label on the brick of your laptop (the lumpy thing on the power cord).

It SHOULD say "input 110-240VAC" , 50-60Hz.

If it does then you simply need a plug adapter and they cost 500 won at a stationary store and 1000 won at a department store...

My Toshiba laptop charger box thing says Input - 100-240V 50-6-Hz

Does anyone know what type of adapter I will need, and how easy it is is to get one?

While I am at it, if it's not to cheeky, can anyone recommend a good/cheap electronics store where I can get hold of one?

Thanks all!

The adapter you need will depend on where you are coming from.

IF you are from the US or Canada then you can get one at any stationary store, department store or hardware store.

It is a simple plug adapter (parallel flat to round). they cost about 300-1000 won depending on where you go.

If you are coming from Aus, NZ, UK or SA then you will need a universal adapter and they cost about 2000 won.
