I'm looking for a laptop, but something as cheap as possible... or even free. Wink

If there's a problem with it I may still be interested... depending on the problem.

I don't care about the battery life or if there is a battery at all. I want a laptop because it's small and easy to move around, but it will always be plugged in, so I have no real need for the battery.

I guess about anything from a Pentium III and up would be good.

Don't know if it can be any good to you... or anyone else, but there was someone selling a laptop for W100,000 on Craigslist a few days ago, but the screen is cracked.

Putting in RAM, getting a new power cord/ power supply, installing a new HDD, ... that's the kind of stuff I'm comfortable with, but changing a laptop screen might be difficult and for sure would be far too expensive.

Thanks anyway. Smile

Actually, it's probably less expensive than you think.

Check out this thread: http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=172219

I would guess the average price installed would be ~150,000 Won in Yongsan.

Thanks for the info, but even 110K just to get a new screen is too much considering that I still have to pay about that much for the laptop. I'm looking for something REALLY cheap! Wink

if you have your own monitor you could plug that into the laptop with the cracked screen and either use it as a mirror or primary monitor.

becomes less portable, but you will have yourself a machine. plus, if you dont have a monitor, you should be able to pick up a cheapie second hand one for maybe 40k or so.
