The obvious one: the YHA.
It is directly opposite Beijing Station (for long distance trains) and there is a city subway as well at the front door and you can rent bicycles there too. |

Very chilled out, in a quiet area beside some lakes, but also only 10 mins walk from Subway.
They were really helpful, they booked us into a good Peking Duck restaurant one night and also arranged a taxi for us back out to the airport when we were leaving. |

| I'm going to Beijing, China for 8 days. I typically spend 3 or 4 days in large cities and then get tired of them. Are there any great sights or activities I can easily get to outside of Beijing? |
