Was just checking something on the immigration website and found this:

To promptly reduce backlog of immigration service applications, which dramatically increased recently and have caused long queues in application centers, and also to provide facilitated and quality service to applicants on time, the Immigration Bureau has operated 'the Pilot Program of Online Reservation on Application Date', in which potential applicants will be able to make a reservation on their visiting time to the Application Center. The pilot Program, which is currently available only in the Seoul District Immigration Office, will be extended to the five major District Immigration Offices.
A foreign national who has completed the Alien Registration Process or Oversea Korean Registration Process is eligible to access the reservation of visiting time to apply for 'Extension of valid Sojourn', 'Change of Status', 'Granting of Status', 'Re-entry Permit'. 'Change of Alien Registration Content'. 'Change of Residence', 'Provisional Korean National Treatment' and 'Restoration of Alien Registration Card'.

Maybe I'll try it next time... looks like we're going to move to a uni 'dormitory' (2 bedroom apartment, brandnew ) so will have to change the address on my ARC, and don't want to waste too much time waiting in line. |
