I'm looking at getting either this;

http://english.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=173825659

or this

http://english.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=179499980

One has 1000/1 ratio and the other has 50,000/1. I understand that the human eye can't distinguish anything above 50,000/1. But will the difference between these two screens be noticeable?

I want something that will be adequate for HD around the 400,000won mark. Some other suggestions would be welcomed.

Just for your info, I'm going to pair it with either this to make an HTPC,

or this

In all honesty, they can fudge these ratings so much. Especially when they use terms like "dynamic" contrast ratio. My monitor has 30,000 to 1, and is honestly not as deep in blacks as my wife's 5 year-old Dell monitor.

Personally, I think the monitor companies fudged these numbers so much compared to the past that the readings are nowhere near accurate in any sense.

I think you have to look at them in action at Youngsan to decide for yourself.

I've decided to go with a flat screen instead of a monitor (if there is a difference?) I haven't looked that hard but I have come up with this.

Does anyone know of a better deal? Both size wise and price wise? Keeping in mind that I want to keep it closer to 500,000 than to a mil. Cheers in advance. Surprised
