Anybody know where to find information on the new curriculum for the next semester online? I'm most interested in 3rd and 4th grade since their number of classes has been increased. I went to cge.ken.go.kr thinking it would be posted there but it wasn't. We don't have our teachers' guides in yet, so I can't just go open a book, but my co-teacher has asked me to start looking over it if I can find it. Any help? |

I heard a lot of announcements would be coming next week...during my 2 week vacation. "Not my problem" is my stance on this.
For some reason I strongly doubt they will have an English teacher's guide prepared already. |

You'll find or might find what you are looking for HERE.
I collected a lot of those just for the time they would close the site or take them away....

Dave,
Those are the old 2009-2010 text, not the 2010-2011)
I was told that this year they are changing from an 8 unit lesson to a 16 unit lesson as the grade 3's and the Grade 4's have been bumped up to a twice a week english curriculum.
The new books have not come out yet, but a couple teachers have them |

I was told Feb 25th by my school. Apparently all 3rd + 4th grade subjects are getting new books this year so the teachers are a little annoyed that they haven't seen the books yet. |

My books were waiting on my desk this morning. No teachers guide yet, and my Korean is sub-par so sometimes I get what the lesson is trying to accomplish and sometimes all I'm looking at are pictures of that damn alien that I can't stand. (Zito, I think?) |

Do you really need the teachers' guide? The English in there is horrible that I haven't bother to use it since two years ago. Just play the darn cd. That pretty much accomplish what they want u to do |

I use the teachers' guide to try and figure out what they're trying to accomplish with their silly "game." The one picture doesn't usually show what they want done. Although a lot of times, the teachers' guide is also just as horrid. |

The 3rd and 4th grade looks already look (physically) better than the old ones. I flipped through them today. 16 lessons for 4th and 5th instead of the usual 8, and the photos/pictures/drawings have been updated.
The 9-16 lessons aren't drastically that different. For 3rd grade, they're like easier versions of lessons found in the grade 4 book, and for 4th grade, they're like easier versions of lessons found in the grade 5 book.
We'll see how it goes. |

could someone with the book PLEASE post a little more detail about the lessons.
I have a thread running with the detail of what some of us without the book may want to know.
I specifically want to know what direction the conversations are meant to take for the new 8 units for Grade 4 |
