I have a GEPIK contract and I'm thinking about terminating my year contract after exactly 6 months, incurring no penalties. Am I entitled to my housing security deposit refund? Also, can I trust that the school will pay my last months overtime/security deposit after I leave the country? Any thoughts on this subject would me much appreciated.
Thanks |

If your apartment is intact then there may be no holding of your deposit. However, the lease on the apartment is probably for a year so the school may still have to pay the rent after you are gone. They may keep your deposit to cover part of that. If they can get out of the lease and there is no damage to the apartment you may get it back. I would try to get all your money before you leave Korea. |

Get the money BEFORE you leave Korea. It can be done. Find an honest person in the school's office. |
