For a kick-off, what on earth is a "tea-bagger?"
is it...

a) Someone who puts tea in bags.
b) Someone who prefers their tea in tea bags rather than with a strainer.
c) None of the above.

b) Dangerously crossing a street at a place other than the pedestrian crossing.

Yes, I do know, but I have the suspicion you might be a troll. And the whole "speaking the language properly" nonsense proved that suspicion right. By the way, from my limited American knowledge of the world, I believe even non-Americans know how to use google/wikipedia. Both of your questions are easily answered there...but then you couldn't slag off Americans, could you?

I'm curious about the tea-bagging thing. Does anybody know whether it's an attempt to steal a word back (like that "Rainbow Coalition" against gay marriage thing)?

Or are they really as dumb as I think they are?

Here's some clarification on the tea-bagger thing:

It is a sort of movement among right wing, conservative Americans perpetuated by continuous publicity through Fox News. Some may even claim that Fox News organised the whole movement against Obama.

The name comes from the Boston Tea Party where Americans refusing to pay tax to the British - epitomized by taxing British tea - threw many boxes into the harbor.
Now the group thinks that the current government is taxing them too much.
Most of the members of this movement may be unaware of "tea-bagging" the slang word for placing your scrotum on somebody's face. However, some of these tea-baggers do get the references and include them into some of their outlandish protest signs, "Tea bag the Libs before they tea bag you!"

Unfortunately I believe, as do a host of other people, that they are a misinformed bunch that may lead to the downfall of America if the claims of Fox News are substantiated - "More Americans watch Fox News than all other news channels combined."

Except that the sexual reference was first used by liberals as an insult to the protesters. "The teabaggers are at it again!!!" type of comments were all over the place.

I'm not saying I agree with the protesters, but throwing out juvenile insults is just unprofessional.
