|
|
I love to buy stuff, so I read the buy/sell/trade forum every day. I have noticed that one user frequently bumps his stuff for sale (a jacket and 2PM CD) without making new posts. Or maybe he is making new posts but deleting old posts. Anyway, I have seen the same 2 items for sale many times, but when I search for the old posts, they don't seem to exist. Does anybody have any idea how he is doing this? It is driving me crazy! |

Is the post date always the same? The one there now says wednesday Feb. 10, so he's obviously reposting.
Don't count on the search function to find old posts here, because it's useless. |

The post date is always new. I actually looked at his posting history and scanned through several pages of his posts to look for the previous posts (instead of searching). The only thing I can think of is that he is having a mod delete his old posts when he makes the new posts. The not knowing is killing me
I have also noticed that after someone replies to one of his posts, he can't seem to delete them any more. This is so strange. It is driving me crazy |

Wow. it isn't magic, it isn't even strange. Anyone can delete their own posts if no one has replied. I thought you were speaking as if whole threads are disappearing.
All you have to do is click the "X" button at the top right corner of your posts.
If someone has replied, the button is not there.
Man, if this is some kind of prank you're pulling, I fell for it. |

I never knew that! It wasn't a prank at all. Thanks for telling me! It's been bothering me for a couple of weeks now. Man, I can't believe it was so simple, haha. |
