Re-entry stamp at the airport - Can you only get it once?

Sorry if this has been asked/answered somewhere else, I couldn't find it. I've seen conflicting comments about this. Is it true you can only get a single re-entry stamp at the airport one time?

you can get a multi-entry permit from the immigration office. Costs about 50 000 Won if I remember correctly.

Yeah, I know about that. Unfortunately I live 2 hours (by public transport) from my immigration office and I don't get off work until 4:40 and I've had to work everyday that hasn' been a weekend or a public holiday, so I haven't gotten to go. My school says I have to take a vacation day if I want to leave early to try to get to the immigration office. So I'm stuck with the airport.

I'm worried because I got a re-entry permit from the airport a couple weeks ago and now I'm going on a trip again and I thought I could just get another re-entry permit at the airport. However, I've seen a couple of comments from other posters saying that you can only get the re-entry permit from the airport once. Just want to know if this is true.

They are single use and you can only get one at a time (each time you fly out) but there is NO LIMIT to the number of times you can get one.
