I'm on vacation and I can't find my ARC card. Does anyone know if that's going to be a problem getting back into the country? Has this happened to anyone else?

Any advice would be helpful as I am currently sweating bullets.

I have never lost my ARC but also I haven't had to show it on entering the country - only my passport with the re-entry permit. So coming in shouldn't be a problem then you will have to sort it out when you are here. Not sure how difficult that will be.

If you get asked by immi when you re-enter the country just tell them it was lost while you were abroad.

After you return you have 2 weeks (by law) to get a replacement from your local immi office.

They will require your passport, a copy of your passport, an application and 10k won.

My first year in KOrea, I forgot to take my ARC card with me on vacation out of KOrea. I told the Immi. officer at the aorport that I just forgot to bring it with me.
I had no problem leaving or returning back to Korea.
