I found a Burger King at last. It was near closing. I looked at the menu.

The Whopper comes with BULGOGGI SAUCE!

I'm sorry, but you couldn't pay me to eat another burger with bulgoggi sauce. Bulgoggi sauce belongs on bulgoggi, not hamburgers.

Mayo belongs on a Whopper. Can you really get it your way in Korea?

You cab barely get it your way in America where (most) of the staff comprehends English. Still better than McDonalds, though. Shocked

If you want customization, you'll likely have to learn the appropriate phrases in the native tongue.

Wendy's is where it's at Very Happy

Just say whatever you don't want and 뻬(빼?)주세요. 불고기서스빼주세요. they usually understand 'minus' too for some reason. actually i've found BK and McDonald's had some fantastic English, whereas immigration was god awful.

That's rough, amigo. Next time, consider taking a job in South Korea. The whoppers here are identical to back home. Just had one last night: meat, mayo, and American cheese. All the essentials for a heart-healthy 2 a.m. snack, and definitely no bulgogi sauce.

Maybe they can fly Clinton back to Pyongyang to bust you out of there or at least bring you a jar of Hellmans. Until then, try to stay strong!

Well, I asked and they said the Whopper had bulgoggi sauce and catsup. Maybe this is the Whopper SK SE.

the OP may be on to something....

but if offering delicious burgers at a fair price is insane, I don't want the King to be right.

Now if only the Hamburgler would stop taking anti-psychotic meds, there could be the first burger war of the 21st century... with a DSM twist! Wink

I've had a bunch of whoppers while in Korea, I've never tasted bugolgi sauce in the burgers.

Maybe it's the bugolgi version of the whopper that has the sauce, no?

If you look at BK Korea's web site they have a Bulgogi Burger. I was at BK yesterday and had a Whopper Set. No Bulgogi sauce.

Oh sure, next you'll be wanting a hot sandwich that wasn't made three hours ago served with hot fries. Dream on, dreamer.

Ehh you too? I've only eaten at a chain store twice since I've been here, but the burgers always seem kind've cold. Is that just normal? The second time I even looked to see what was already in the warming tray and ordered something obscure so they'd have to make it fresh. It was still coldish.

Perhaps they made a mistake, or you mis-ordered. Recently I noticed a picture on the wall of a Burger King called the napkin-o-meter. Apparently if you use more than 6 napkins you are a thief. These desperate attempts to save cost are what get me. Also the prices at most fast food restaurants have risen dramatically in the past few years here. It's now expensive unless you are going for the unbelievable lunch time menu at McD's.
