I was watching some old Motown music videos recently (The Supremes, The Marvelettes, etc, and I was reminded of the Wondergirls. Anyone else notice the similarities? Hair style, dress, choreography, etc. |

I think it's intentional. |

er, girl groups who sang, danced and looked pretty have been around forever! Since the 1920s I'd guess!!
The Motwon period was just a highpoint for girl groups. |

for "Nobody" it was completely intentional. JYP stated he saw a paucity of offerings in that genre, and though it'd be interesting to do one.
Obviously the hunch worked out nicely. |

I think it was a big play on the Dreamgirls revival thing that hit in 2006. Keep in mind that while it is their flagship song now, "Tell Me" and "Hot" were massive hits of their own right, possibly bigger hits domestically years before they took on the Motown look for "Nobody." |

Seotaiji is pretty original to me. Is pretty Korean to me also. Maybe you are blind and deaf? |

I have been asked that exact question maybe 5 times from my Korean school mates. It's not always our fault! (Youtube isn't working here, but from the title I guess they were asking who is the cutest) |

I read an article about how Girls Generation was very popular among middle aged men. I prefer not to think about it... |

massive dorkdom. Seriously. Please
They're either blinded by the stateside heifferdom around them or haven't been outside of their shared room yet.
Look at how they move?
seriously now. that cutesy stupid crap. Obviously they've never been in Latin America where women really know how to move - like women, and have things to move if you catch my drift.
or even a salsa club with Puerto Ricans in it back stateside.
I did see a Korean girl in a salsa club here though, who COULD move and even had a bubble butt/curves on her. I was in serious shock AND awe
no Generation Girl could hold her jockstrap. |
