I've been studying this as a part of my MA class.
One of the problems I find with my students is that they have not developed strong organization skills. This software can really help students organize ideas into a final written product and/or presentation.
In addition, I'm trying to stimulate my students' brains through the "dual coding effect" of both visual and verbal learning.
Anyone using it? I'd like to put it to use in my writing classes, and perhaps my job interview class.

It comes with a 30 day trial.

Watch that 2nd link... I'm thinking of buying it. |

I am so old fashioned. I actually cannot stand mind mapping or web structures. I like the old Cornell method.
I know that it isn't hip and cool and fun, but it is effective and very easy to organize your structure.
But thanks for the links. I often show students alternatives, if they prefer it they use it. I really don't care what method people use as long as they get the desired results. I just stick with the old tried and true method for me. |
