i have a question about banned modded xbox i bought. it seems im basically not able to install games or install anything. is that normal?...although the hard drive still stores saves. if i plop the hard drive on another xbox would it work just fine and dandy?
the hard drive i got has some arcade games and downlaodable content and all that is still accessable so my thinking is this. why not get a decent 60gb or 120gb hard drive..install all the the latest updates from microsoft so u get all the system features and all d/l content u want then get ur xbox modded to play the cheapo games...then dont worry about anything being banned coz u have everything all set up and installed. sound like a plan? |

Microsoft bans the console, not the content.
They are more than happy for you to buy a new Xbox, pop your hard drive in the new one and play away. Then when you mod your box again, they'll ban you and you gotta buy another new xbox. |

I'm confused as to what you mean by "work".
Are you referring to playing a modded console without worrying about being banned, than no. It won't work. There is no 100% full proof way to play a modded console that won't get banned.
When groups who release firmwares always think they got everything figured out, Microsoft puts out a ban wave, coming up with a new way to detect modded consoles. |

actually no i didnt mean that. i meant use this 120gb hard drive on an unbanned console to download arcade games and dl content then get the xbox modded so i can play downloaded and burnt full games. so the end result is a modded console that has loads of arcade games on to (im not bothered about online play) |

| XBox Arcade games are tied to your Xbox live account, not to the Xbox. |
