Yesterday, I spoke to a guy in person. He had such disgusting breath, the smell was like that of a rotting corpse (or how you'd imagine a rotting corpse would smell).

It was so bad I began to smell my fingers, I tried to be as subtle as possible, but the smell was putrid.

I didn't say anything to him about his breath.

Have you met people with awful breath or people who generally smell awful?

How do you interact with them?

Korean women have the foulest-smelling breath in the world. It definitely appears to be worse in females, for some reason. Very off-putting. I do wish they wouldn't eat kimchi four times per day. I enjoy kimchi myself, but good grief.

I step back. Way back. And then I avoid them in the future. If they can't take the hint, I really don't want to spend time with them.

Tonsil stones suck. I've had them a few times. The last time was pretty gnarly. I will spare you the details just know that it caused major pain and a very swollen tonsil.

Most people have their tonsils removed at a young age.
Those things have no business being in your mouth. It must feel like swallowing a tree branch all day long.

Where I'm from, it's almost impossible to get your tonsils out. As a kid, you need to get tonsillitis something like 6 times in an 18 month period before they will consider you. I think it was a lot easier in the past, but it seems quite rare now. It doesn't seem like something you were born with could really be that unnatural?

I still have mine. I had tonsillitis when I was about twenty, and it sucked balls. That was the one and only time though.

I "smell it" everyday from someone and I tell them.."hey...if you don't know it, your breath is kicking!"
"Brush your tongue, roof of your mouth, gums, etc....clean it out dude!" Cause you ain't getting no boom boom with it!
Most folks don't realize it.
I for one have to brush my teeth and mouth a few times a day and chew breath mints.
Some folks' breath smell like do-do! If you're reading this....do all a favor and brush often everyday!
That kim chee and garlic...smell...is awful!
I've turned down some dates because some of the women had bad breath that would make you madder than a midget with a yo-yo!

It's true, I remember I once turned down a guy who was really nice and fun, only because his hair smelled like someone who just fried tons of chicken, smell is important, very important to some people.

I just put two pieces of gum into my mouth in case someone over the internet can smell my tonsils, I still have them... Very Happy

I also found brushing tongue important.

Flossing your teeth can also be very helpful.

It can be hard to tell if your own breath is bad. One way to do it is to lick your arm, wait about 10 seconds, then smell it (don't do this in public!). If it smells ok, then your breath is probably ok. I don't know whether this works for all forms of halitosis, but for most I would think. The first tme I did this I got the shock of my life. I've been a religious tongue brusher since then Smile

The kimchi thng is a problem. Kimchi breath is toxic! I find it's much less noticeable if I've eaten Korean food too. I've had a few experiences lately where it has been so bad that a whole room has been stunk out by one person. My gym for heaven's sake. There was a lady there the other day who I could smell as soon as walked in the door. (Shudder!)
