Is magic stitching sold here? In case you don't know what magic stitching is, they are iron-strips that hold two parts of a fabric together, for example, the hem of a pair of pants. They are very useful for those of us without the time/patience/skill to actually sew with a needle and thread. |

almost any dry cleaners will do simple hemming and other repairs, not expensive, just show them what you want, they can do it. |

I know what you mean but I never saw it in Korea. As has been mentioned, look out for a local tailor/little sewing shop - there's always one, even in small villages. Take your clothing along, mime and show them what you need done. Pinning the hem helps, you can get pins in any convenience store. Comes out great (usually pressed for you too) and costs next to nothing. |

Ok, thanks. I'm thinking of making a skirt, for lack of a better word, to go around my desk to creat a little more hidden storage. I was thinking I can buy some fabric and somehow make it stick to the side of my desk with velcro (if that's available) and have the bottom hemmed so it looks neat. I live in a studio and not having adequate storage is really getting on my nerves. |
