I've read the other threads about these guys and am wondering if they still try to pull all of the old scams. Has anyone had a recent inteview with them? Is the contract the same as previously? Do they still open a bank account in your name without your permission?

Please let me know.

I got an elementary school job through win education from Oct 2005 to Sep. 2006. I thought they were pretty much ok. They basically set up the job and then left me to it. I thought one of the guys that worked there was a bit of an idiot, but that was just a personal thing: there were no real problems.

Towards the end of my one year contract I told them I wanted to leave a month early to return to the UK for an MA course. They agreed to pay me the one month bonus and airfare, even though they strictly didn't have to. I thought this was pretty decent of them.

Did you have to sweep and mop the classroom floors and hallway?

I think Wineducation is decent and I have no problems with them. I did have my contract modified though. I think there is probably no reason why you couldn't have the same done. I prefer working here to a hagwon because it is pretty much self managing. They come for a look every now and then but it is pretty rare.

Yes I have to sweep and mop the classroom. But I just sweep it in the morning while I wait for my ultra slow computer to boot. Moping is usually done once a week.

Did they provide the mop or did you use anyone that could've also been used at one time or another for the restrooms? Just trying to get my initial 25 posts so I can pm

Haha, you need 25 posts to pm now 0_o

They probably have been used for the bathrooms. But this schools ajuma is like a bleach addict. The smell punches you in the face after you go into the bathroom.

The mops are rubbish anyway. People here still haven't come to realise that mops just spread it around. However the worst is sweeping with the 2 foot broom.

Surprised You know what? I'd totally forgotten about that - but yes I did! I must have repressed the memory or something. I can clearly remember filling up the buckets - still, didn't do me any harm. [twitches nervously] Confused
