|
|
I recently arrived in Seoul and have been looking for jobs through the usual websites and a few phone calls to the chain hagwons. Today I've decided to take a job at the Nowon branch of Topia but had it in mind that I would just do this until another job came around. I've recently read a post that said coming to Korea opens up job opportunities that someone overseas wouldn't have. What other ways are there to find jobs? |

Friends or other teachers are your best bet. Even in Korea referrals are always the best.
You can use a recruiter, but make sure you tell the recruiter exactly what you are looking for. Don't let them pass on any job that comes on their desk. Be very specific. If you cannot decide on what kind of job you want then they will pick your job. And that's something you don't want to happen.
Also what do you mean you would od this until another job come around. You can''t just walk off on your employer if they are your E2 sponser when a better job comes your way. |

Contact every recruiter you can find.
Their advantage is that you are here and a quick sale. No hassle dealing with immigration or airlines. They can show you off in an in-person interview.
YOUR advantage is that you can actually check out the school, meet and talk to the staff and see the accommodation for yourself before you sign on the dotted line. |
