I've heard that some banks charge you more to transfer money into your account in the States, and that some put restrictions on how much you can send. Does anyone know which ones are less restrictive and charge less for transfers? I'll be in the suburbs of Seoul, if that matters. |

KEB is the most willing and oriented to serve foreigners. There aren't a lot of branchesoutsidethe major centers, but you go once and set up a wire transfer account, a global debit card and internet banking and then you basically never need to walk into a branch for the rest of your stay in korea. |

+1.
KEB - accept no substitute.
if you ever have any problem(s) with your account you call a help center with helpful and english speaking customer service reps.
you bank elsewhere at your own risk. |

KEB has been wonderful to me for everything except opening a joint account with my husband. If they could/would do that, they would be the best Korean bank in my opinion. |
