Now I know that people have told me countless times they bought and or got their consoles "moded". But where are how?
My xbox is doing the 3 ring crap....Do I have to send it away? Can a guy fix it?

Do you live in Seoul? The Yongsan electronics market has several places to fix/mod/update your Xbox, provided it hasn't bricked itself. Some repairs are just too pricey and you'd be better off buying a new one.
There's a guy on the 7th floor of the "living" section of the Yongsan I'Park electronics (above all the cameras, TVs, computers, etc.) that only does repairs and mods. His kiosk isn't hard to find. There are spare parts lying all over the place.
Be sure to bring a translator, though. His English/people skills kinda suck, but he's a whiz and fixing up gear. |

I bought a 3RROD 360 off of eBay and fixed it up using the X-Clamp Mod. It is pretty easy to do.
Here is a thread to a variety of fixes: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=674440
That site also has section about soft-modding 360's.
Have fun! |
