There are a few new games that I want to buy, but I've been to Homeplus, Lotte Dept Store, a little store in the subway, but no one seems to have new games. I'm especially looking for Modern Warfare 2. Gmarket didn't have it on their site either.

BTW I'm in Busan. Any ideas?

If you click on that link, it's showing up at Auction, 11th Street, and Interpark.

Use 콜 오브 듀티 6 for searching.

Go to the store in Seomyeon station. Heads towards Bujeon station and the stores are on the right. There are about 4 stores. They have modern warfare 2. There is also a store somewhere in the underground maze of the nampodong jalgachi market that I randomly found the other day and picked up mass effect 2. But yeah your best bet is the last store in Bujeon underground market.

Yes, they do. The place where I had mine done charged 50,000. They only guaranteed it for one month as it's a modded console. However, it's still working fine about six months later. Not sure what the conditions would be if you have an unmodded one though.

You can get it cracked/modded for about 30,000 won, last time I checked. There's one guy that does 80% of the cracking there, so it's best to go straight to him. Other vendors will add on 10,000 won or so to run it over to him.

Thanks for the answer.

I'm not interested in going online with a modded xbox. I presume you play downloaded games on one, but can you also play American copies of games on a Korean modded xbox?

Yeah but you need to format your HDD properly for it.

There's this guy, go down to Luncheon on a full moon. Take a left at Sinister Alley, after you pass a blacked-out storefront with an old man singing "Old Grey Mare" you need to give him a single American penny from any year before 1992. If he says "Mighty fine night. . . For dancing" you need to spin three times COUNTER CLOCKWISE on that spot or he will spit in your eye. Then you walk away while humming the chorus from "Billie Jean"

If he says "On a cold winter morning" you need to bust out some sweet riffs with your air guitar (which only he and dogs can hear) then he'll lead you to this dude who can totally hook you up.

Yes, and no. If the games are region-free, then you can play them. If they are ntsc-us/j, then you can play them. If they are ntsc-us, you cannot play them. Jtagged boxes might be a different story, but I don't know enough about them yet.

The Play Asia site has a pretty good and accurate listing of games and their regions:

I ordered from them recently and was really pleased with the service.
