I read the FAQ and did not get an answer to my question. I don't need to know how to go about getting a visa. We have all the paperwork ready.

I came here on an E2 even though I was already married. We were trying to decide how long we were staying (1-5 yrs MAX). We have decided 2 years (I arrived in November '09).

I want to know if I will still be eligible for the refund (Pension, Healthcare, etc) if I leave within the 2 years if I change my status to F2?

How will it affect my contract with GEPIK? Will they still return me to the USA at the end of the contract or if they hire me again will I get the round trip?

I know I do not want to stay beyond 2 yrs because I now have family obligations that I will have to take over in 2012.

Will having an F2 affect my US taxes? Will I have to pay Korean taxes? Will it affect my husband's taxes? Will it change anything when we do
paperwork in America for husband.

Speaking of taxes, do I file my taxes as married, filing seperately & he doesn't file since he is not American?

All the links I have found online talk about how to get an F2 & whether or not you can work. I want to know what I lose as well as what I gain.

I am totally confused & overwhelmed.

Thank you for your time.

They need to pay for the flight if it is the contract. That has nothing to do with your visa.

I am pretty sure everything is the same. You can still claim the stuff back. But then again im Australian so I am not sure about the rules for Americans

Thanks jiberish.

That is something at least.

Dealing with bureaucrats is always like walking through a mine field with them having a sign saying "walk this way to help desk." <BOOM> Maybe it is their way of having a good time.

Have a good weekend.
