I am looking into working and living in Gapyeong starting in June, but I am wondering if anyone has experience with this location. Any information would be appreciated. And yes, I know that it is a smaller city/town.
Thanks!

Visited there once. If I'm not mistaken, there's a big famous flower garden/park/arboretum. And that's absolutely all. |

^^ You've also got Nami Island, which is quite nice in the spring & autumn. Jaraseom Jazz Festival also happens in Gapyeong every October, some really good world jazz acts occasionally come. Otherwise, you're a 20-30 minute ride into Chuncheon (closest 'big' town) or about 90 mins away from (Dong) Seoul. Unless you get your own wheels and explore the surrounding countryside and mountains, not much AT ALL-- 2 Paris Baguettes, one 'martuh' (Kapyeong-mart). Very parochial, but that can be good... |
