I'm coming back over on sunday and this time I am brining a nice supply of dried spices with me. they are all sealed up and unopened, can I bring these through okay in my carry on luggage or should I hide them in my check in luggage?

I've brought a suitcase full of such things before. No problems, although US Customs rifled through everything each time to make sure something else wasn't in all those little packets. But I checked them in every time. I don't need to be bothered being searched and paprika and chili powder be shown for all to see. Let them do it in a back room somewhere. Don't think anyone's interesting in stealing any.

Every country has a separate list of things that are prohibited. I do know that you cannot bring Salt into Korea, but no spices are on the list. Some Dry spices and herbs are available in Korea at some places though.

found this, it says nothing about spices. I think I will just keep them in my carry on luggage then.

I wouldn't want to take up space in my carry-on, and I wouldn't want to take up weight in my checked bag. I'd ship them to myself. That's just me though.

Make sure that the spices are sealed in their original wrapping and not have been opened. I wouldn't take them in your carry on. You most likely won't have a problem but they are anal about everything now. They gave me a hassle last time when I had a package of seeds. They won't stop you, but might waste your time going through your bags asking what everything is.

Never had a problem, and I bring all kinds of unlabeled bulk powdered herbs.

the only other things I have in my carry on are clothes and a couple of pairs of shoes. The regulations on no liquids in carry on are still annoying me about 5 years after they came in...I could just put some of my pastes, liquids in my carry on and put spices in my checked luggage if it wasn't for that idiot making a bomb with his liquids Evil or Very Mad

You might throw it over your shoulder and scratch an ajumma's sun visor.
