So I originally applied back in November, and had all my documents ready. Needless to say, we all know the debacle that GEPIK was this year with placements. However, I got my placement, signed my contract, and they are sending me a notice of employment as I type this. Now the Korean consulate in Toronto wants me to send in, along with my notice of appointment and signed contract, another sealed transcript, criminal records check, and my original degree. I mean, they have already checked this stuff numerous times, last time I was there and this time, and I asked what happened to all the documents I already sent them to get confirmed. The reply, "Our departments don't share documents. The visa department has to again check your documents." What the hell! I mean, I wouldn't have even got this far if I hadn't had the proper documents. Why not call the school and ask if the contract signed by the school principal is right (as GEPIK has also looked at the documents.) I also don't currently have my original degree because they facked it all up the first time I sent it to the consulate and didn't accept my notarised copy for some reason, so my original is at the school and I was to get it back on the other end. Six more working days for me to get another transcript. This whole process needs some streamlining, as it has been one debacle to the next. I have handed in everything they asked numerous times, and then I wait, wait, wait, then it is something else last minute. If I knew everything from the beginning, and they planned things ahead, we could have had this process done months ago.

Only mine started in August and was meant to be there over a month ago =\
