I'm thinking about buying another laptop and I was wondering if anybody has any knowledge of specific models that would be available to me here in Korea. I live in Gumi, not too far from Daegu but I could get to Seoul too.

Basically, other than routine surfing, blogging and emailings the game that I play is Command and Conquer. I also do a lot of video conference chatting. So I'd like to be sure that my new machine could handle to load of the gaming and video chat graphics.

I spent around 1.1 mil KW on what I've got now and I'm comfortable in that 1-1.5 range. Does anybody know of specific models and where to gem'em that might do for my purposes?

Thanks,
Art

Any new laptop and even most older ones (post 2001) could do all of that with relative ease. You shouldn't have to spent more than 1m on it and you might even be able to spend as little at W600-700,000 (or even less if it is used).

I thought Command and Conquer was a pretty graphics intensive game. Are you sure?

Let me know if you know any specific models and/or shops to check on/with.

The problem is there is a huge difference between older C&C games and the newest one.

The new one, C&C 4 Tiberium Wars, would make a 1m krw laptop break down and weep.

You should give us a price range and more specific list of games you wish to play.

Personally, I bought this laptop, the Sager 9850(dual nvidia 280m baby!):
